They say there’s genius in simplicity, and it couldn’t be more true than in this case.
Floral Romantique is a very sensual, feminine scent. On my skin it is very consistent and somewhat linear. Sweet but not cloying. There is no real journey from top to bottom. It’s simple but lovely. The dry down notes are just a delicate reminder of the opening.
Although other reviews I’ve read about this frag describe it as a ‘mass market’ smelling floral, I couldn’t disagree more. Sure Guerlain might have wanted to appeal to a wider audience, but there is nothing about this perfume that is cheap or mass market. Mass markets are generic and forgettable, FR is neither.
The juice is high quality, the sillage is out there but not bothersome nor offensive, and it lasts all day, turning into a soft skin scent by evening. This is the creme de la creme of white florals.
